What Zenefits does is no different [from a bookkeeper or accounting firm]. In fact, even today, ADP will let you add a third-party administrator to your payroll system unless they have a Zenefits.com email address.

Their entire premise is that you can practically use any providers you want for your benefits such as various 401K providers, various health care plans, etc., as well as any payroll vendor. Zenefits makes its money as a broker when you choose to go through Zenefits.

Zenefits just a broker, their quotes for insurance (which were MORE expensive for WORSE coverage) had a note at the bottom 'These are just an estimate; prices subject to change'... Zenefits gave me none of these [firm pricing, historical data, contract].

Zenefits’ method of extracting data from ADP’s RUN system via 'screen-scraping' put excessive demands on ADP’s servers, potentially impacting service delivery to the entire client base.

Zenefits solution was so manual and archaic... it was pulling sensitive information, including unmasked Social Security numbers and employee banking information, in a manner that did not comply with ADP’s standards for data security.
