Rails was fine 10years ago... Now the world moved on and requirements changed heavily. It left the path of innovation and is now mainly on the maintenance road.

I do remember feeling extremely grateful for ruby and rails, because I had started to hate programming. Rails got some bloat here and there, expand and consolidate, but I feel that it did accom[plish its goal].
