WORKS FOR

SMB founders with coding skills building internal tools, solo engineers shipping faster, dev teams cutting boilerplate and bug-fix time

KEY INSIGHT

Best results on well-scoped tasks with clear acceptance criteria. Gains are dramatic for simple, repetitive coding work; complex legacy refactoring can slow teams down if AI review overhead exceeds savings.

DOESN'T WORK FOR

Non-technical business owners, teams without any developer, anyone needing a no-code solution

At work though, the pressure to move fast is too high, so I m letting Claude Code so more work these days (nowhere near the majority, but I ve found things i can trust it with). I don t think i could deal with a paid plan myself given how unpredictable the models are and opaque the pricing is.

That so far generated a 2000-line CSS file for a 7000-line app consisting of literally three web pages. Where almost every single color, component, class and style is duplicated at least two times.

Need to fall back to codex to keep things in sync... and it catches a lot of issues with Claude Code and is great at fixing small medium issues.

Re Strauva I didn’t game it. I just used Claude Code everyday 12 hours approx. Now I’m back in the idea and I sleep much better, I feel master of my codebase and my business domain again.

Hacker News • HackerNews • Use case: Used extensively for coding (approx. 12 hours a day) as a primary development tool.

Claude Code had the strongest writing quality of the four. Claude Code covers 13-17 [files per project]. So agents using Claude Code s docs are blind to roughly 90% of the codebase.

Claude Code is great but the latest update has me compacting so much more frequently I could not stand it.

Claude can handle your first-response layer—trained on your product/FAQ, it can qualify leads and answer 80% of questions instantly on WhatsApp while you're actually working.

Every single time I asked an ai tool (claude) to create a ui... it always created the worst color schemes and layout.

It can even handoff to Claude code which has your website code.

I use the Jira Rovo MCP (or cli, I don t wanna argue about that) to have Claude Code plan and document my architecture, features, etc. I then manually review and edit all of these items. Then, in a clean session, or many, have it implement, document decisions in comments etc. Everything works so much more reliably for large-ish projects like this.

I noticed that Claude Code is able to generate Marp slides for you if you ask it, as well.

When I started building features with AI coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.), I noticed the main failure was not the model itself, it was context.

Claude Code is extremely easy to set up and use. I suspect its saturation among software professionals is at the majority of the addressable market.

Somebody good at (3) could certainly get Claude Code to make something that looks like it could fill out your tax return for you but it won't really work.

Sure, I can set up Claude Code or some other tool similarly, but the majority of us aren't going to take the time to set it up to do what OpenClaw does out of the box.
