Morning EOD briefings: Cron jobs post a structured summary to Slack every morning and evening — calendar, open GitHub issues, important emails. It pushes a RSS feed of my tasks that I can view on a widget on my phone.

Slack is great for asynchronous team meetings but if you're not checking in regularly, you might find yourself scrolling way up to figure out what people are discussing.

we dabbled with Slack, but ended up using Teams because of our VS subscription.

Tools like JIRA, Github, Sentry, Salesforce, Hubspot, Zoom, Slack, Notion, Stripe, GSuite, ... and many more are so much better and cheaper than anything you'd build in house.
