Retool is an excellent product. I tend to think of Retool as a lightweight custom-ERP software system.

it's clunky for the interface designer - namely, it assumes you might have different custom read and write paths, so it makes you jump through hoops in setting up a Cell Change Handler linked to a Query that writes to the database.
